Johnny Bench drove in four runs and Bobby Tolan batted in three to lead the Reds to an 11-6 victory over the Braves. After Bench accounted for the first run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning, the Reds exploded for six in the seventh. Tolan came up with the bases loaded and cleared the sacks with a double. Then after a pass to Tony Perez, Bench smashed a homer. Pete Rose also hit for the circuit with a man on base in the ninth inning. [The Sporting News]
