Making his first major league start, Jim Rittwage pitched the Indians to a 4-2 victory over the Orioles. Helping himself, Rittwage singled in the fifth and scored on a wild pitch, infield out and single by Eddie Leon to tie the game at 1-1. Vada Pinson then came to the plate and smashed a two-run homer to put the Indians ahead. Their other run in the eighth was unearned. [The Sporting News]
