The Twins came from behind with four runs in the eighth inning to defeat the White Sox, 5-3. Luis Aparicio homered with a man on base to help the White Sox take a 3-1 lead, but the Twins bunched singles by George Mitterwald, Danny Thompson and Bob Allison, plus an error, for the tying tallies in the eighth and went ahead when Harmon Killebrew hit a sacrifice fly.
