. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Breaking the hold of Sam McDowell, the Orioles rallied for two runs in the eighth inning and beat the Indians, 4-3, for their seventh straight victory. The Orioles had a two-run homer by Merv Rettenmund, but only one other hit through the first seven stanzas and trailed, 3-2. But Don Buford and Rettenmund singled in the eighth, Don Baylor tied the score with a sacrifice fly and Curt Motton singled to drive in the deciding run. [The Sporting News]
