The Astros ended their season with a string of seven straight victories by defeating the Giants, 5-4. Joe Morgan homered in the eighth inning to give the Astros a 4-3 lead, but the Giants tied the score in the ninth when Bob Heise was safe on an error and Bobby Bonds tripled.
