Helping himself, Tom Murphy batted in two runs with a double and a single and also scored two runs to account for the Angels' 7-3 victory over the Royals. Murphy had assistance from his catcher, Jerry Moses, who rapped three hits and crossed the plate on Murphy's double in the fourth inning and his single in the sixth. [The Sporting News]
