. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Ex-Dodger Alan Foster made his debut with the Indians and allowed only three hits in a 7-2 victory over the Red Sox. Foster was wrapped in a 2-2 duel with Gary Peters until the eighth inning when he doubled to spark a five-run outburst by the Indians.

Although chary with hits, Foster had control trouble, walking nine, and was lifted after passing a pair with one out in the ninth. Chuck Machemehl retired the last two batters. [The Sporting News]
