Marty Pattin gained his second straight victory for the Brewers, allowing only three singles while beating the Angels, 3-0. A double by Dave May and single by Andy Kosco in the first inning gave Pattin the only run he needed. However, the Brewers added another on singles by Ellie Rodriguez and Ted Kubiak around a wild pitch in the second, and wound up their scoring with a homer by Bernie Smith in the eighth.
