A grand slam by Roger Freed for the rookie outfielder's first major league homer helped the Phillies defeat the Expos, 11-4. In the fifth inning, after a double by Willie Montanez and two walks, the Expos lifted Carl Morton and brought in Howie Reed, who was the victim of the grand slam on his first pitch.
