After collecting only three hits in the first nine innings, the Angels bunched four for two runs in the 10th to defeat the White Sox, 3-1. A double by Ken McMullen, infield hit by Syd O'Brien and single by Billy Cowan produced the tie-breaking tally.

Following a walk that loaded the bases, Alex Johnson hit a slow roller with two out and when the attempted force at second failed, the Angels picked up an extra run. Johnson was credited with a hit. [The Sporting News]
