The rebounding Reds, who had opened the season with four straight defeats, completed a sweep of the three-game series with the Braves by posting an 8-3 victory. Hal McRae doubled home two runs in the third inning when the Reds scored four times to break a 2-2 tie. Johnny Bench hit his fourth homer in three games, connecting with a man on base in the ninth.
