A homer by Reggie Jackson in the 10th inning gave the Athletics a 5-4 victory over the White Sox, who absorbed their seventh straight defeat. The A's, who won their fifth game in a row, also had a two-run homer by Joe Rudi in the first inning and a solo swat by Rick Monday that tied the score at 4-4 in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
