Ron Santo homered after a single by Glenn Beckert in the fourth inning to enable the Cubs to end a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Astros. Beckert, who had three hits, singled again in the sixth and was forced by Santo, who then scored the Cubs' final run on a triple by Joe Pepitone. [The Sporting News]
