The Expos completed a sweep of the three-game series with the Astros by scoring two unearned runs in the third inning to gain a 2-1 victory behind the three-hit hurling of Bill Stoneman. Bobby Wine walked to open the third and when Jack Billingham threw wildly on a bunt by Stoneman, runners wound up at second and third. Wine scored on an infield out by Bob Bailey and Stoneman crossed the plate on a single by Ron Hunt.
