Two runs that scored on an infield hit capped a rally that lifted the Senators to a 4-3 victory over the Twins. With the Twins leading, 3-1, the Senators counted one run in the eighth inning on walks to Elliott Maddox and Joe Foy and a two-out single by Tommy McCraw. After Richie Scheinblum drew a pass to load the bases, Paul Casanova worked the count to 3-and-2 and then, with the runners going, hit a high chopper down the third base line. When Harmon Killebrew's throw to first was too late to catch Casanova, Foy scored easily from third and McCraw raced home from second with the deciding run.
