A trio of two-run homers powered the Braves to a 7-5 victory over the Dodgers. Hank Aaron connected for the circuit in the first and eighth innings to produce the Braves' first four runs. After the Dodgers went ahead, 5-4, in the ninth, Sonny Jackson walked in the Braves' half, went to second on a sacrifice, reached third on a wild pitch and scored the tying run on a single by Mike Lum. Mike McQueen then forced Lum, but Felix Millan came to the plate and hit a two-run homer to win the game for the Braves.
