Tommie Agee, who did not start the game because of a bruised rib, came off the bench as a pinch-hitter in the 11th inning and drove in a run with a single to bring the Mets a 3-2 victory over the Cubs. With two out, Jerry Grote doubled for his fourth hit of the game and Tim Foli was handed an intentional pass before manager Gil Hodges called on Agee. [The Sporting News]
