George Mitterwald singled with the bases loaded and two out in the 10th inning, scoring Jim Holt, to give the Twins a 6-5 victory over the Senators. Holt, who had two triples in the game, singled in the 10th. Another single by Brant Alyea and walk to Rich Reese filled the sacks before Mitterwald's single beat Denny McLain. [The Sporting News]
