Bill Buckner belted a three-run homer and Willie Davis collected four straight hits to pace the Dodgers to a 6-1 victory over the Braves. A single by Davis, pass to Dick Allen and double by Wes Parker produced two runs in the first inning.

Buckner hit his homer in the fourth after a triple by Bill Russell and pass to Claude Osteen. Before the inning ended, the Dodgers added their final run on a triple by Davis and single by Dick Allen. [The Sporting News]
