The Reds bunched five singles for three runs in the sixth inning and defeated the Expos, 5-2, behind Gary Nolan, who pitched his first complete game of the season. Johnny Bench, Tony Perez and Lee May singled for the first run in the sixth and, after Hal McRae grounded into a forceout, Tommy Helms and Dave Concepcion followed with run-producing singles.
