An error by Stan Bahnsen that resulted in three unearned runs in the sixth inning enabled the Indians to defeat the Yankees, 4-2. Vada Pinson was on third and Ray Fosse on first with two out when Bahnsen muffed roller by Ken Harrelson, allowing Pinson to score the tying run. Eddie Leon then doubled to drive in two runs and provide the Indians' winning margin.
