Clete Boyer homered with two men on base in the third inning when the Braves scored four runs to defeat the Phillies, 6-2. Felix Millan led off the frame with a single and scored on a safe bunt by Ralph Garr and a wild throw on the play by Denny Doyle. The Phillies then walked Cepeda intentionally and the move backfired when Boyer belted his homer. [The Sporting News]
