Two homers by Mickey Stanley and one by Norm Cash helped the Tigers defeat the Senators, 5-4. Stanley's second smash of the game broke a 4-4 tie in the eighth inning. Joe Coleman was the winner in his first appearance against his former Washington teammates. [The Sporting News]
