A three-run homer by George Mitterwald and tremendous relief pitching by Tom Hall enabled the Twins to edge the Angels, 3-2. Hall replaced Bert Blyleven with two men on base and none out in the ninth inning and struck out three straight pinch-hitters -- Billy Cowan, Ken Berry and Jim Fregosi. [The Sporting News]
