Ralph Garr hit two consecutive homers, one to tie the score in the 10th inning and the other to give the Braves a 4-3 victory over the Mets in the 12th. All runs in the game counted on round-trippers.

Donn Clendenon connected with a man on base for the Mets in the first, but Clete Boyer homered for the Braves in the second and Orlando Cepeda knotted the count with a circuit clout in the ninth. Clendenon homered again for the Mets in the 10th, but Garr tagged Tom Seaver for the tying blow and then delivered his winning smash off Ron Taylor in the 12th. [The Sporting News]
