Jim Bunning drove in two runs with a sacrifice fly and homer to help end his personal six-game losing streak as the Phillies defeated the Reds, 3-2. The Reds got their runs on round-trippers by Johnny Bench and Pete Rose. Bench's blow was the 100th of his major league career. With the score tied, 2-2, Mike Ryan homered for the Phillies' winning run in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
