Despite a wildman performance by Sam McDowell, who walked 10 batters in the first six innings, the Indians were able to defeat the Senators, 7-3. McDowell did not yield a hit until Joe Foy singled to open the seventh. Vince Colbert then relieved and pitched the rest of the way. The Indians' attack included a three-run homer by Eddie Leon and double by Roy Foster, who accounted for two RBIs. [The Sporting News]
