. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The Athletics smashed three homers in support of Catfish Hunter, who beat the Brewers, 5-2, for his seventh straight victory. Bert Campaneris doubled, stole third and continued home on a throwing error by Ellie Rodriguez in the first inning. Homers by Rick Monday, Joe Rudi and Sal Bando accounted for the A's subsequent runs, Rudi's blow coming with a man on base. [The Sporting News]
