Al Kaline and Dalton Jones entered the homer ranks for the first time this season to mark the Tigers' attack in a 12-1 trouncing of the Indians. Jones hit for the circuit in the second inning.

Kaline, after connecting in the third, smashed another homer in the fifth. Dick McAuliffe also had a round-tripper for the Tigers, plus a double, and batted in four runs. [The Sporting News]
