Willie Stargell hit his 15th homer of the season after a single by Roberto Clemente in the sixth inning to enable the Pirates to defeat the Reds, 2-0. Steve Blass, who struck out 11, his career high, held the Reds to five hits in posting his first victory since April 28. [The Sporting News]
