Batting only .175 before the game, Elrod Hendricks broke loose with three singles to lead the Orioles to a 3-2 victory over the Indians. Hendricks drove in the Orioles' first two runs with singles in the second and fourth innings. Merv Rettenmund singled in the sixth, raced to third on Hendricks' third hit and continued home to score the winning run when Vada Pinson bobbled the ball in right field. [The Sporting News]
