The Indians piled up 17 hits, including three apiece by Vada Pinson and Ted Uhlaender, to defeat the Orioles, 10-5. Uhlaender, who also hit a sacrifice fly, drove in four runs. The Orioles jumped on Steve Dunning for four runs in the fifth inning to tie the game, but Graig Nettles and Pinson singled in the sixth, Ken Harrelson walked and Uhlaender plated two runs with a single to put the Indians ahead to stay.
