A triple by pinch-hitter Roberto Pena with the bases loaded in the eighth inning brought the Brewers a 5-3 victory over the Twins. Two walks, a sacrifice and an intentional pass put the "ducks on the pond" for Pena's poke. The Twins had taken a 3-2 lead in the top half of the eighth when Paul Ratliff hit a two-run homer.
