Three Senators' pitchers combined on a three-hitter and shut out the Angels, 4-0. Mike Thompson started and gave up one hit in three innings before leaving the mound because of a sore finger on his pitching hand. Denny Riddleberger hurled the next five frames, yielding two hits, and Casey Cox set the Angels down in order in the ninth.
