Amos Otis, who homered in each half of the preceding day's doubleheader, hit for the circuit again as the Royals completed the sweep of the three-game series by defeating the Red Sox, 4-2. The Royals counted twice in the fifth inning on a double by Cookie Rojas, a hit batsman, single by Joe Keough and sacrifice fly by Jerry May.
