Graig Nettles collected three hits and scored two runs to enable the Indians to defeat the White Sox, 3-1. Alan Foster held the White Sox scoreless on four hits until the ninth when he gave up a run on a walk and two singles before Ed Farmer relieved with two out and fanned Tom Egan to end the game.
