Three homers enabled the Reds to come from behind to defeat the Cubs, 4-3. Jim Hickman hit a round-tripper for the Cubs, who had a 3-0 lead before the Reds rallied to tie the score in the sixth.

Back-to-back homers by Tommy Helms and Lee May produced the first two runs. After two out, George Foster singled, stole second and counted the tying tally on a single by Hal McRae. Tony Perez then won the game with a circuit clout in the eighth. [The Sporting News]
