Chris Chambliss, the Indians' rookie first baseman, smashed a two-run homer in the seventh inning to beat the Brewers, 2-1. Vada Pinson opened the stanza with a single and, after Ray Fosse struck out for the third time, Chambliss connected for his drive off Marty Pattin, who was loser on a four-hit effort.
