After Jim Lefebvre and Ron Fairly hit three-run homers in the first inning, the Dodgers broke the tie with a run in the second and added another in the fifth to defeat the Expos, 5-3. Willie Crawford and Dick Allen singled ahead of Lefebvre's smash. Fairly's tying homer followed walks to Mack Jones and Ron Hunt.

A double by Steve Garvey, single by Bobby Valentine and groundout by Crawford sent the Dodgers ahead to stay in the second and their final run scored in the fifth on a triple by Crawford and single by Willie Davis. [The Sporting News]
