The Athletics supported Vida Blue with a 20-hit attack to enable the sensational southpaw to cruise past the Yankees, 13-3, for his 13th victory of the season. The A's piled up 18 singles and did not have an extra-base blow until Joe Rudi homered and Curt Blefary doubled in the eighth inning.
