A two-out double by Dick Billings was the key blow as the Senators scored three runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Angels, 3-2, and snap their seven-game losing streak. Toby Harrah tripled and, after one out, Frank Howard was handed an intentional pass.

Frank Fernandez struck out, but Billings looped his double to right-center field, scoring Harrah and Howard. Paul Casanova followed with a single to drive in what proved to be the winning run. [The Sporting News]
