Coming from behind after trailing, 4-0, the Brewers caught up with the Orioles and then won, 6-5, on a homer by Johnny Briggs in the ninth inning. Frank and Brooks Robinson each connected for the circuit with a man on base in the first to give the Orioles their early lead and Robinson drove in another run with a single in the fourth.

However, the Brewers fought back to tie the score with the aid of round-trippers by Bill Parsons and Tommy Harper before Briggs teed off on a pitch by Pete Richert in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
