. . . where the 1970s live forever!
Rich Reese, Tony Oliva and Brant Alyea smashed homers for the Twins in a 5-3 victory over the Indians. Bert Blyleven, who started for the Twins, was kayoed in the eighth inning after giving up a run on singles by Eddie Leon, Vada Pinson and Frank Baker.

With two out, Tom Hall walked Ray Fosse and Chris Chambliss to force in another tally. Roy Foster, who had hit a homer for the Indians in the seventh, came up next with the bases loaded, but Ray Corbin retired him on an infield fly to end the threat. [The Sporting News]
