Sonny Siebert, who opened the season with nine victories before losing his stuff, suffered his fourth straight defeat when the Senators beat the Red Sox, 8-5. The Senators collected six of their runs off Siebert on eight hits, including Dave Nelson's first homer in 425 times at bat in the major leagues.
