Sonny Siebert, who opened the season with nine victories before losing his stuff, suffered his fourth straight defeat when the Senators beat the Red Sox, 8-5. The Senators collected six of their runs off Siebert on eight hits, including Dave Nelson's first homer in 425 times at bat in the major leagues. The third baseman, who was recalled from Denver (American Association) June 15, connected with two men on base in the fourth inning. [The Sporting News]
