. . . where the 1970s live forever!

A free-for-all fight that umpire Jim Honochick described as the bloodiest he had seen in his 23 years in baseball marked the Indians' 7-0 victory over the Tigers. The fisticuffs started after Ray Fosse of the Indians was hit by a pitched ball thrown by Bill Denehy in the eighth inning. Chris Chambliss did his swinging at the plate, driving in four runs for the Indians with a homer and triple. [The Sporting News]
