A single by Wes Parker with the bases loaded in the seventh inning drove in two runs and broke a 3-3 tie to enable the Dodgers to defeat the Astros. A two-run triple by Jesus Alou brought the Astros even in the seventh, but a double by Maury Wills, a late throw to third on a bunt by Bill Buckner and a pass to Willie Davis loaded the sacks in the Dodgers' half.
