Ending a personal four-game losing streak, Sonny Siebert gained his 10th victory of the season and 100th of his major league career when the Red Sox won the nightcap of a doubleheader, 2-0, after the Indians erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning to capture the opener, 9-3. The Indians loaded the bases on two hits and an error and Frank Baker cleared the sacks with a double. Four more runs followed on two walks, two more errors, a single by Graig Nettles and double by Chris Chambliss.
