Jim Perry pitched a three-hitter and the Twins smashed four homers to beat the Athletics, 10-1. Rich Reese started the slugging with a round-tripper in the second inning. Tony Oliva connected in the third and Harmon Killebrew and Reese homered in succession in the sixth. Reggie Jackson saved the A's from being shutout with a circuit clout in the seventh.
