Boog Powell, who had been showing rejuvenation at bat, smashed his 10th and 11th homers, driving in three runs, to lead the Orioles to a 7-5 victory over the Senators. Jim Palmer became a 10-game winner, but the Senators knocked him out in the ninth inning during a four-run rally that included a homer by Frank Howard with a man on base. [The Sporting News]
