Relievers Dan McGinn and John Strohmayer put down a bases-loaded threat in the seventh inning to enable the Expos to defeat the Braves, 6-3. The Braves cut the Expos' lead to 4-3 with a run in the seventh and had two men on base with one out when McGinn replaced Carl Morton.

McGinn passed Ralph Garr and then induced Sonny Jackson to ground into a forceout at the plate. Strohmayer came in to face Hank Aaron and retired the slugger on a fly. [The Sporting News]
